Calibre Wings 1/72 CA22410 Sukhoi Su-24MR “Fencer-E” – Ukrainian Air Force “35 Yellow”

The Calibre Wings CBW722410 Sukhoi Su-24MR “Fencer-E” – Ukrainian Air Force “35 Yellow” is an exceptionally detailed 1:72 scale diecast model of the dedicated tactical reconnaissance variant of the formidable Su-24.

Finished in the distinctive markings of Ukrainian Air Force aircraft “35 Yellow”, this impressive collector’s model captures the purposeful lines of the Su-24MR, including its characteristic variable-sweep wings and reconnaissance configuration. The real “35 Yellow” has been documented serving with Ukraine’s 7th Tactical Aviation Brigade, making this an especially interesting subject for collectors of modern Ukrainian and Eastern European military aviation.

Produced primarily from diecast metal with plastic detail components, the model is supplied fully assembled and pre-finished. Calibre Wings has incorporated an extensive selection of display features, including variable-position swing wings, optional canopy positions, a metal pitot tube, detailed crew figures, intake and engine nozzle covers, magnetic attachment points for the undercarriage, interchangeable glove-vane pylons, and a selection of external stores including missiles, rocket launchers and fuel tanks.

Fine surface detailing, realistic panel lines and permanently applied pad-printed markings give the model an authentic scale appearance without the need for assembly or painting. The finished model measures approximately 34 cm in length with a wingspan of around 24.5 cm, giving it considerable presence in a 1:72 military aircraft collection.

The Su-24MR was developed as a specialised reconnaissance version of the Su-24 family, replacing much of the strike equipment of the Su-24M with photographic, infrared, television and side-looking radar reconnaissance systems. Entering service during the 1980s, the type provided tactical reconnaissance capability while retaining the Su-24’s distinctive twin-engine, variable-geometry configuration.
